It also imo kinda satirizes consumerism, which I think is needed in our modern society. It's one of our favorites. While Wall-E and his many brothers are cleaning the earth the humans take a space cruise and never come back. Fast forward years, Wall-E is the only robot left working, all the other's have broken down, and he is sentient. One day a spaceship comes and drops off another robot and Wall-E is infatuated with her, which she doesn't seem to let bother her after a while. They become friends and when she suddenly shuts down Wall-E is heart broken.
The spaceship returns for her and Wall-E finds himself on a journey that will have consequences far beyond what one little robot could imagine. As some of the other viewers have written about the dvd not delivering a full movie, and jumping from scene to scene or just going blank. It has happened to me. I order a lot of movies from Amazon and this is the first one to go bad on me. I will reorder again and hopefully get a good copy.

This was bought as a gift, I haven't watched it but the recipient felt it had been edited, and was slightly different to the version seen on TV. Although of course this movie is targeted at a younger audience, this is one of those movies that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
The idea is unique, the story is witty yet serious at the same time, and I can imagine this being one of Disney's more popular movie in the coming years. If you're looking for a nice sit down with the family, this is the movie for you.
Though keep in mind children of a younger age may lose focus from time to time during the lack of dialogue in certain parts. This was a total waste of money although the ad read "very good condition" it didn't play at all grandson was most disappointed! Bought as a birthday gift for my little brother; he watched it three times in the space of a weekend.
